Groups
In Zotero you can create groups by Log In on: https://www.zotero.org/ and click the tab Groups.
You can search for Groups of Create a New Group. Click Create a New Group and give it a name.
The URL of the new group appears. Select one of the options Public, Open Membership, Public, Closed Membership or Private Membership and click Create Group.
The next screen appears and select your options and click Save Settings.
Go to your Web Library or Desktop Library to see the new group in the left pane.
You can drag one or more references into this group.
You can manage this library by going to https://www.zotero.org/groups and click Manage Members to invite new members
Click Send More Invitations and fill in the emailaddress(es) and click Invite Members
The new invited member will receive an email with a link to the group and can accept or decline the invitation and has to log in or register to join this group.
Tags
Tags are customisable labels which allow you to organise your references. You can add tags to references and customise the name of the tags. You can add multiple tags to a reference.
Click on a reference in the central pane and on the right the metadata of the reference appears. At the bottom you see Tags +
Some Tags could be visible, but you can also add your own tags by clicking on the + symbol and add your own tags:
All tags are also available in the left pane at the bottom depending on the library or collection that is selected.
