Survey & analysis tools

ATLAS.ti
ATLAS.ti is a powerful workbench for the qualitative analysis of large bodies of textual, graphical, audio and video data. The NSM library team gives instruction and support of the use of Atlas.ti.
Available for Radboud University students and NSM staff. Available via the Software Center on your RU computer or laptop. You can get a copy of Atlas.ti for installation on your own device at the ISC service desk at the Central library or mail to icthelpdesk@ru.nl.

IMR Labs
Decision-making is a central topic in the research and education of the Institute for Management Research (IMR). The IMR has therefore labs to study decision-making under experimental conditions, to provide tools for supporting complex decision processes, and to offer excellent training facilities for students. Three lab facilities are available; these can be used both within the RU and on location (mobile version).
Qualtrics
Web Survey tool for creating and conducting online surveys. Available for Radboud University students and NSM staff.

R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. R incl. RStudio & Rtools is available via the Software Center on your RU computer or laptop.

When downloading R, it is recommended you do so through their website as opposed to the Software Center, since the version in the Software Center is outdated.
Software overview
Here you find an overview of all software available for computer workstations on campus i.e. in the study resource centres.
SPSS
Software package for statistical analysis. SPSS is available for all RU workstations. Contact the ISC servicedesk in the library for more information. SPSS is available at a discount for students and staff for personal use via surfspot.
Stata
Stata is a complete, integrated statistical software package for data analysis, data management, and graphics. Available on workstations in pc-classrooms Elinor Ostrom building (at MSc in room EOS -01.170 & EOS 00.300 and 00.330) and on 2 computer workstations in the University library's learning zone. For support in formatting panel data, mail to datasupport-NSM@ubn.ru.nl.
