Qualtrics Surveys in Research: Setting up surveys

You can create a new survey from scratch, copy and then edit an existing survey or select questions from a question 'library'.

There are many question types available such as multiple-choice, text entry, matrix tables, rank order and more specialised questions.  You can add advanced features such as validation, randomization and skip/display logic (where those completing the survey see certain questions depending on their previous responses).

There is lots of support available from Qualtrics which you can access through the Help and Support button once you are logged in.  The links below take you to the relevant support page within Qualtrics site. 

• Using the Quick Survey Builder

  The easiest way to create a new survey is to use the Quick Survey Builder.
• Copy an existing survey

  If you already have a survey similar to the one you are creating you can save time by creating a copy of the original survey
• Using the survey library

  The Survey Library option allows you to copy a survey from a library to use as a template for your new survey.
