Open Educational Resources: Platform edusources

The aim of this LibGuide is to create awareness of Open Educational Resources (OER) within Radboud University. Lecturers who want to create their own teaching resources or to reuse resources created elsewhere in their field can find inspiration or ask for

Platform edusources

Edusources is a national platform that has been created for openly sharing digital educational resources. The education cooperative SURF develops and manages edusources.

Edusources provides more than 10,000 high-quality digital educational resources from higher education. Quality and copyright are guaranteed by professional communities working together. These professional communities consist of a permanent group of lecturers who provide the content and guarantee its quality, and librarians who add metadata and check the resources for any copyright violations.

Radboud pilot

Radboud University has been participating in the edusources pilot since the end of 2022. There are currently two communities in our university: Neerlandistiek (led by Prof Marc van Oostendorp) and Wijze woorden (led by Prof Bé Breij). The communities have quite a few digital educational resources at this point. However, several other high quality Radboud collections have also been added. You can find these by filtering the search results by ‘publisher’ = Radboud University.

Reusing materials?
Looking for inspiration or do you want to use or re-use other people’s materials in your teaching? Then take a look around at edusources for great resources from your field.

Participate yourself?

Would you like to start your own community in your field, add general educational resources or otherwise explore the opportunities? If so, please get in touch with the Radboud Open Education Team at openeducation@ru.nl. The pilot will run until October 2023.

Wikiwijs

It is also possible to share educational resources developed by Radboud University for Primary and Secondary education. You can do this using the  Wikiwijs platform.

Examples resources include the Drillingsberichte by prof. Paul Sars and clips about multilingualism by dr. Sharon Unsworth. The Radboud Open Education Team can help you with this too.
