What is MathSciNet?

MathSciNet is an electronic database where you can access reviews, abstracts and bibliographical information from mathematical research literature. More than 100,000 new items are added each year, most of which are part of the Mathematics Subject Classification. Authors are allocated a unique MR Author ID, which helps you to find their publications more easily. A staff of mathematical professionals have selected expert reviewers for Mathematical Reviews (MR), which first appeared in 1940. Each year they assess 80,000 new articles that are added to the database. MathSciNet contains almost 3 million items (books, journals, journal articles and proceedings), with more than 1.7 million links to original articles. Click on  and choose the https://s3.amazonaws.com/libapps/accounts/26861/images/Full_Text_5x25.jpg button for a system search that will tell you whether Radboud University has a subscription to a particular journal and whether the article is available in full text.
