* Term Lists are indexes that are automatically built and updated after references have been added to the library. EndNote has three Term Lists: Authors, Journals and Keywords. The Journals term list presents for every journal name the full name (Full Journal) and an abbreviation (Abbreviation 1). Depending on the Output Style either one is selected.
But...when you import references from PubMed, this journal term list is incorrect. The full name and abbreviation have been switched, so your reference list will display the wrong variant. Therefore, it is advised to import a correct journal term list for PubMed.
Please import the PubMed Journal Beta list, with more than 19800 medical journals, directly in your new and empty EndNote Library, follow these steps:
> Library > Open Term Lists > Journals Term List > Lists tab > Journals > Import List from your folder 'Downloads'.
